Frickin Chickin

Frickin Chickin was born when the opportunity to create a premium contemporary fast food outlet arose.

The goal was to create an on-trend, highly desirable brand which would tap into the needs of the trendy, social-media obsessed, young and affluent consumer. The kind who wants to see and be seen at the newest and coolest restaurant and bar openings in the city, purely because of their aesthetic.

In response to this idea, I chose to develop a character for the brand mark. It gives the brand a friendly, approachable personality which helps in creating brand loyalty.

The colour palette (millennial pink) is perfectly contemporary and suited to it’s audience. While maybe a little unorthodox for a food and beverage retailer, market research has shown that younger generations are more likely to try new brands which are instagrammable and have a strong aesthetic, so we wanted to make use of this insight.
